Nick Forys is an Information Security Analyst and heads up cloud computing at CAS Cyber Security, overseeing all AWS products and managing client relationships. He plays an active role in developing new AWS solutions for customers to maximize ease of use without sacrificing security. He ensures the CAS team has the appropriate resources and training in place to meet any cloud-based challenge.

Nick graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics and Controls Engineering with Honors. In his academic career, he undertook numerous robotics projects and research related to unmanned vehicles, artificial intelligence, and cyber security. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a US Navy Officer to fly naval aircraft.

Throughout his time with the Navy, Nick has gained operational experience with advanced military hardware. He has been stationed onboard destroyers, fixed-wing aircraft squadrons, and at the Pentagon. Nick has experience with program management of integrated warfare systems and detailed knowledge of unmanned military vehicles.

Nick has also collaborated with research labs across the country including Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab’s Air and Missile Defense department, where he implemented machine learning algorithms on unmanned vehicles for search and rescue operations. He also has experience at Fathomwerx Labs, completing a project to model the interior of a US Navy ship using 3D modeling software. And at the Sandia National Labs, Nick collaborated on an automated carbon capturing system to reduce carbon levels in the atmosphere.
